Hi I'm Caitlin
I leave in 3 days to serve a mission for my church, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I will be serving in Ogden, Utah and I will be speaking spanish. I took some spanish in high school but I don't have much to show for it so this will be interesting. For the first six weeks I will be at the MTC (missionary training center) where i will be learning how to teach and how to speak spanish which will be good to know. After that I will then move on to Ogden to be a missionary and preach the gospel. While I am gone either my mom or my sister will post my letters and emails on this blog so that way anyone who cares can come here and see what i am up to. anyways, before I go, here is my testimony.

I have a testimony of Jesus Christ and I know that He lives and loves us. I know that He is the way to true happiness. Material things in this life do make me happy but only for time. The happiness and joy that come from Christ are a forever happiness and a pure joy. I have been so blessed in my life and I have so many reasons to be happy but nothing makes me more happy than this amazing gospel of Jesus Christ. I know that we have a Heavenly Father who loves us more than we can know. He knows who we are and he is there for us. He hears our prayers and wants us to return home to him. He loves us so much that he sent his son Jesus Christ to earth that did something for us that we could not do for ourselves, he overcame everything so that we would be able to overcome the trials and hard stuff we face in this life. He knows our fears, doubts, and pains, and has experienced all of them. Through Christ and his atonement we can be forgiven and clean through him as well as receive power and strength to do all things. I know as we turn to Christ we will feel his love and his hand in our life. We can only progress because of our savior and because of repentance and the atonement. We are all children of God and we have a potential to become like Him. I know that not only do we have the potential that we may become queens and kings, have eternal life, and live with heavenly father and Jesus Christ, but that we absolutely will become and have these blessings as long as we keep our covenants and promises with God. This is an amazing truth and I am so grateful for the truth we have been given in this life, without the gospel I would be lost somewhere else. There is always hope because of Christ and there is only hope because of Christ. He has gone the way and he is the way back to our father in heaven. This is true happiness and it is all because of love. I know that Christ lives and I love this gospel. I testify of this in Christ's name. Amen.
